Ullswater – love it. When we lived in the UK we used to go to Glenridding every year for a camping holiday at Mrs Lightfoot’s place. I saw the terrible pictures from the recent floods and we hated to see that area so devastated. Nice to see the lake again!

Like most of Lakeland it has the knack of being a busy tourist spot yet also a tranquil location. Not sure how the repairs at Glenridding are going. At Pooley Bridge there is a temporary bridge to replace the one lost in the floods.
