Telfords Conwy Suspension Bridge, North Wales
Roads are the topic for this weeks B&W Challenge, so I guess this fits right in. Thomas Telford built this bridge in 1826. It is the first ever Suspension Bridge in the world to carry a road. The Bridge crosses the River Conwy replacing an earlier ferry. Amazingly the road over the Bridge was still a main road till 1958 when it was eventually superseded.

From it’s history it most definitely fits in the road theme. Wonderful entry David. 😀
