May 1st, a new month and one that should reveal all the colours that have been trying so hard to grace our countryside and gardens this last month.
Temperatures have been steadily rising….but we have also had a cold north wind blowing down from the Artic regions. So this northern edge to our woods is still much in the grips of winter, buds just starting to show but a very different scene to that on the sunnier side…..no doubt they will catch up, but in there own good time!
