Red Stairway
Yesterday the sun shone and yes you would think that summer here in middle England had arrived in style. The geraniums shone, the red sandstone glowed and there was much anticipation in the air……to-day the outlook is very different. Grey wet and gales threatened.
But that I suppose is the beauty of Britain’s climate….just wait awhile and the climate will change.
* I think it was Coleridge who also stated “that in England summer starts on July 31st and last till the 1st of August”
A Sign of the Times
Whilst exploring the village above we spotted this sign
I suppose the phrase ‘as the Law Directs’ might well still apply….. even though the original dates from 1824. Beware!
