Yesterday was full of hope that spring was on the way, those warming rays of sunshine started to melt away most, if not all, of the snow.
Dawn this morning was again full of hope with blue skies and a welcoming sun. But that was not to last. By the time I was down at the lake the cloud cover had started to build and that sunshine turned to a glow. Even the Lake, that remained clear from yesterdays warmth started to freeze…….
Even whilst I walked around the Lake, the glow faded, the day became colder and that layer of ice increased by the minute, covering pretty much all of the water surface…..
But in one corner of the woods there was some comfort and encouragement. A clump of Daffodils hidden within the brambles and bracken provided a golden bowl of colour….and the hope that Spring is going to come….but in its own time.
And talking of time….for all U.K. residents a reminder that British Summer Time starts to-night so remember to put your clocks on one hour – longer days at last. Now all we want are the birds to arrive back from their winter holidays.
The Glove Saga Continues.
Another day and another glove.
And being another adult glove
IS yet another other left handed glove!
