We have the Holly and we have the Ivy …….all we need now is the snow and we can soon start to believe that Christmas is on the way.
Like many other fruit bearing trees and shrubs it has been a good year with plenty of food around for the birds should we have a sever winter as we did last year. But with Holly Bushes amass of red there is hope for our feathered friends…….
……………….Elsewhere in the woodland there is still plenty of green on the trees, certainly this week we have seen much more of the golden colours that we normally associate with autumn, but other still put up a fight and seem as bright as they did in the spring. No doubt the gales forecast for this weekend will put an end to their aspirations to last till another year!
