IT’s OFFICIAL …..it’s HORRIBLE

We woke this morning to our regional news programme describing to-days weather as ‘HORRIBLE’ and it is….Snow, Sleet, Rain and a wind blowing straight down the Derwent Valley from the north that is colder than any we had over the winter. Nor did the snow look pretty, not a white wonderland but a covering of grey slush….yes Horrible is the best description.

Jean didn’t waste any time in declaring the day a ‘Knitting Day’ well she does have a new grandson to knit for! So it was off into the conservatory, a cup of coffee and some good music ….and it has been Click-Clack ever since

The snow and sleet have been to wet to stick so I reckon it will not be hanging arround for long but just long enough to damage and cause stress for the new spring growth, blooms and blossom that have been gracing our garden.

The Camellia in particular has suffered the worst, most blooms going brown and wrinkled ….…

…….but this Pink beauty has put on a brave face.  Not sure it will look the same in the morning.    Just where did all that sunshine and warmth go?
