One of those weekends of chores and gardening, nothing exciting, just a collection of all those ‘little jobs’ that are put off until they build to a weekend of hard labour with not much opportunity to relax!
Still the dogs do provide the excuse for the occasional break with a walk in the Woods
The Bluebells are still some way off providing there massed spring displays, just the odd one or two presenting a taster of treats to come…each of the green plants above has a flower bud at its heart ready to stretch up the light. But they better be quick as the leaves are starting to shape the canopy and the wood will become a glade once again……
But another first of the year was waiting to be discovered. On a damp but shady woodland bank….…Primroses the real harbinger of spring.
So here we are 6.30pm on Sunday evening looking forward to a soak in the bath, a stiff drink and a snooze on the sofa….as for the Sunday papers well we haven’t even started the Saturday edition yet!
At least it is Monday tomorrow and the start of another week and I guess after this weekend that it will seem a lot easier working!
