A Mothers Day ……..SURPRISE

My tribute to Mothers was genuinely intended as a tribute to all Mum’s…whoever and wherever they are.  What I did not know was that Mothers Day would take on a much more significant meaning so close to home…lets explain.

There we were at 7.30pm  yesterday enjoying a Mothers Day Celebration meal when Claire, one of my Daughters in Law, suddenly declared that her ‘waters had broken’.  No panic just a hasty trip for Tim and Claire to the Maternity Unit and by 10.15pm on the 18th March 2012’ another little Oakes was here.   I should explain that until Friday, Claire had been working and the new kid on the block was not due for another 10 days.

So Mothers Day takes on a whole new meaning for our family.  As is the way these days, Mum and Baby are quickly back at home and as you can see both are doing well….

At the moment Little Oakes (our fifth Grandchild) has no name….but I am assured that the parents have a long long list.  I will keep you posted.
