Woodland ART……

Each year students from our local Art College (sorry Uni ) have a day out in our woods using their imagination to create ‘Woodland Art’.  They are only allowed to use what they can pick up in the immediate area, they are not allowed to cut anything down and it must be bio degradable.

This one is easy to recognise……..

………Yep, you got it a Guitar.

Or perhaps a Bunny is more to your taste…………..

May be a Waterfall…………

The next one is perhaps more of a challenge.  Here is the clue……it’s a fish out of water!

Yes, you have got it……it’s a Pike with its big teeth ready to snap up its prey. Go on use your imagination.

I know in past years it has been the practice for the students to come along one day and then the following day children with learning difficulties have been asked to join them, see what the students had created then encouraged and helped to do their own pieces of art……a great idea.  Each year both the standard and creativity vary but for us it is still fun exploring the woods with the  surprise and pleasure of discover.

The ASH still stands tall….

For those who have followed the blog and have commented about the Ash tree I can assure you all that despite the encroachment of autumn and the recent gales, the Ash still stands tall and proud in its full leaf and colour….
