Dawn had the m0rning sun chasing away the clouds, with not a breath of a breeze it had the makings of a perfect day. One of those days to take things slowly and allow events to happen as and when. Certainly Carla and Buster were content to let the day go bye and leisurely bask in the dunes…even though Buster likes to remain on the alert in case he misses out on anything….
But Brora beach woke up to the day peacefully enough and remained that way for most of the morning…
With the afternoon we headed up Strath Brora to explore the Glen and discover Loch Brora with its banks dotted with old plantations of rather weather beaten and lichen covered Silver Birch….
Then to complete the day an evening at Loch Fleet near Littleferry to watch the incoming tide do battle with the outgoing River Fleet….
The object was to do a little Seal spotting as they fish the currents and with luck maybe the odd Otter. Plenty of Common Seal but alas not an Otter to be seen….may be another evening…….
