Crail….another East Neuk Fishing Village

c2

Like so many of the Fishing villages of Scotland’s East Coast, Crail may well be small but for centuries it was a lively and profitable base for its fishing community. Like many others the village has much more than a small harbour to catch the eye of visitors.  The buildings are solid, built to last from local stones, whilst the skill of the builder was to accommodate the houses on steep slopes and use every inch of space they could.  Makes for an interesting afternoons exploration…..
