The past few days we have been enjoying the Cairngorms. To most folk the Cairngorms mean mountains – and indeed it is a fine range with many of Scotland’s highest mountains and on top a tundra upland. But it is also the land of Lochs…some small, some very large. It is also an area of Forest with names like Rothiemurchus and Abernethy where there are still stands of of ancient Caledonian Pines. So join us on a quick trip round these forests and also the Lochs of Garten, Morlich, Ghamhna and Loch an Eilein…..
P.S.
We have been in some remote places over the past few weeks. Mobile signal and links to the web have been spasmodic at times. At the moment we have a reasonable signal so I am looking forward to catch up with your blogs that I enjoy following….but if postings appear sparse please excuse the gaps!
