Despite the very cold weather and being covered with snow these Crocus and Iris bulbs are forcing their way out into this mornings sunshine. I suppose it only goes to prove that the snow is deceptive in so much as whilst it is itself cold it does provide a warm blanket for the spring bulbs keeping the worst of the cold away.
Not so sure that this lone Redwing would agree, he still scours our garden for any remaining berries, something he has to fight the Blackbirds for a share of.

Wow.. the way Crocus and Iris bulbs are fighting their way up is really amazing! Nature inspires us all so much. Great capture.

Very nice! With the mild winter we are having, our flowers may get confused and start appearing if these warmer temperatures keep up.
