Mist hung heavy with dew at dawn this morning. By the time we were up and out it had started to clear leaving a dull and very damp morning with a constant dripping of moisture from the trees flattening the undergrowth with a shimmering blanket of moisture…..
In one of the darker corners of the wood and old tree stump was proving to be a great host for a new crop of fungi. They look tempting to pick for the pot but I am not that sure of my identification skills, so left them be……
Then, for a very brief period the sun broke through the clouds to give us just a glimpse of what it can do to lift the colours and our spirits. Sad to say it was an all to brief appearance……
………………may be tomorrow we will be luckier!
