A day that started dull and dark barely woke up today. Even the autumnal leaves failed for the most part to add their usual glow. So I was rather surprised to find in this usually dark and dank corner of the lake, a place I normally passed by without a second glance, that for once it put on a bright show of colour……..a bright show on what was otherwise a very dull walk.
At least it cheered me up!

The key as you are too well aware is the frost….or so far this autumn, the lack of frost. As soon as we get a hard frost that will be that for another year.
