The damp and dank days of late autumn have eventually matched the weather forecasters predictions….and it rained with a vengeance. The autumn leaves were soon being swept along the pathways by the new rivers that had formed overnight….
Any low ground in the woods soon became the basis for a temporary new lake…..
Nor were there any golfers out on the course, in fact a mop would be of better use at the bunkers than the usual smoothing rake……
Down by the ‘real’ lake there were also no takers of the Picnic table, even though it was resplendent upon its rich golden brown carpet of leaves…
And did the day did not improve and evening dusk came early over the lake whilst the rain continued to fall…….
As for tomorrow…well they reckon we have more heavy rains to come. I know some of our American friends are keen for some rains to bless them and their crops and am just sorry we cannot post it onto you.
21st November
Damp and dank…but beautiful photos! Time to cozy up inside. We’ll be heading back tomorrow, into a lighter version of what you show above.

Thanks very, very much for the kind rain thoughts, David–we certainly could use any that anyone could help to provide. Still no rain in the forecast, at least through Sunday. It surely does do wonderful things for the saturation of your fabulous remaining fall color, though! I rest assured in the thought that you certainly have a good pair of Wellies.
