The frost and ice has gone as quickly as it arrived….but I reckon it is only a brief respite before winter falls with all its furry.
This morning it was a bright start with the low sun creating a warm glow over the woodland floor where here a lone defiant fern starts to fall to the carpet of leaves below……
One more really good frost and it will be gone…to hibernate below ground till the spring arrives.

My, it’s still pretty green? We’ve had 10 cm snow and 10-12 degrees minus for at least 14 days now.
