The frost has left the moor hard underfoot and the sun did its best to break through the persistent cloud layer. Obviously it remained cold but boy the air was fresh and exhilarating.
This view is over the Gritstone Edge of Burbage towards the rocky horizon of Higger Tor. the smaller rock outcrop just off top centre is a Bronze Age Hill Fort…a bleak spot to be garrisoned I reckon!
