As dawn broke over the meadows the mist rose and for a short time obscured the low winter sun silhouetting the now ghostly looking skeletons of the trees……
Gradually the sun did force its way through cloaking all with a deceptively warming glow………
I say deceptive for the sky also cleared and the temperatures took a sudden nose dive and ice started to form on any overnight puddles……
But the ice was only thin and it didn’t take long for a very curious Buster to discover the art of ‘ice breaking’…he is now an expert at the task!
Thankfully Buster decided that the ice on the Lake was too big a challenge. By now the sun was now warming the day so the surface of the Lake was starting to thaw….proofing once again just how fickle the weather in the U.K. can be….for ever appearing to change.

The fickleness of the UK weather is part of it´s charm – an annoying charm at times. Should I take a coat or not? An umbrella or not?????

Such tender landscapes you show this time. And so beautiful with the sun low over the horizon. Beautiful colours and light, David.
