On the 4th it had all the signs of an approaching spring, then yesterday it was back to winter……
Today it is different yet again. Despite a wind blowing cold straight from the Arctic the sun has yet again woken the spirit of spring. Ivy glistening and glowing having shrugged off yesterdays white blanket……
Snowdrops are starting to show, two more small clumps being the first to heralding in the carpet of a very different white that is to come……
Down by the Lake the Old Boat House with its covering of ivy casts a warming reflection across the black ice cold waters…….
Whilst the sun casts a long shadow through the garden fence, hard to believe that this is still February, harder still to think that it was a snow scene yesterday….
I just wonder what tomorrow has in store for us. Still they do say that “Variety is the Spice of Life”

Yeah, we had a sneeze of snow yesterday. Although if you blinked, you missed it

Goes as quick as it comes. I remember over here in 1987, at the end of October it was warmish and then on 1st November it snowed as if the weather was saying “Hi I’m Winter, and I’m your new friend” 😉

Wonderful photographs… in here there is an old saying “Mart kapıdan baktırır, kazma kürek yaktırır.” Literal translation: March makes one look through the door, and makes one burn hoes and shovels and meaning : Do not act carelessly under influence of enthusiasm, or you might find yourself in a darer situation. Thank you dear David, have a nice day, love, nia

I am amazed how such a widely available resource (the trees) has the impact it has but the simplicity of the image (the first one) does it in droves (haven’t made myself terribly clear) but I like it

I never tire of trees, all shapes all sizes…..and don’t call me daft but I love to touch the bark of many a tree. They are just THERE!
