A sudden drop in temperatures overnight meant that the weekends rains turned to snow so we woke to a light covering. But even as the day broke snow started to melt and the roads were clear for those who needed to commute to work. But it was a very dark start to the day and what little snow that manage to cling to the trees in the woods did little to brighten the morning……
The morning never did wake up though occasionally a faint glimmer of sun did try to lift the gloom……….
The thaw was pretty quick and before we had completed the walk it had just become a fleeting memory and once again revealing the snowdrops on the woodland floor….
And the day never did wake up……a blue Monday all round.

As long as it’s no more than that, David, not to worry! It’s gonna go away within the next 24 hours anyway. If you get a full meter, however, it’s gonna be winter for a while – 😀
But lying like it does over the green plants, it makes a hell of a motive once the suns rays start melting it down

It might be a dark grey day with no life but it is still better than the past two damp rainy days!
