My offering for this weeks Photo Challenge is one of my favourite shots, of one of my favourite locations. The location is Northumberland on England’s North East Coast (just below the Scottish border), Bamburgh Castle overlooks the long beach with extended views to the Farne Islands. Looks relatively calm and on some days it is even tranquil…but on others it can be wild, windswept with raging seas. No matter what the weather it is always a magical place to be…..

I love the juxtaposition of the little shed with the castle on the hill…. it gives the landscape some perspective.

It does…I was trying to give an impression of the true ‘expanse’ of the view and still feel that I have not quite achieved that. Will try again.

Love this shot. You’ve really captured the feeling of the place and shared it with us. Nice job!

Thank you Tina….I don’t want to share it with too many folk as part of its charm is to walk along a relatively deserted beach and sand dunes. Very selfish of me I know….BUT!
