We have enjoyed a wonderful summer. Driest, hottest and sunniest for many years, and that’s official!…but we did reluctantly have to admit to needing the rain. Well we have had a few heavy downfalls and though we moaned’ we have to say’ that it has left the countryside refreshed with the greens once again verdant and the rocks washed clean. There is more rain forecast but the brief sunny intervals are a delight to enjoy…..

True ..you cannot have one without the other. It is just the quantities that cause concern at both ends of the spectrum…too little or too much.
