Long term followers of my Blog will recall that during the winter before last (2012/13) I kept on finding ‘lost’ gloves along the trail. Nothing unusual about that apart from the very large numbers we kept discovering…… Perhaps more intriguing was the fact that the majority were adult gloves with just the occasional child’s glove BUT the big mystery was that every adult glove was left handed whilst every child’s glove was a right. This last winter, perhaps because for us it was so mild, we found only one glove and of course it was an adult left!
But this last week in Scotland we found three more gloves….again adult and once again left handed…….so the mystery continues.
P.S.
The Stars of this week…..None of these gloves were posed….they were just waiting patiently to be photographed.

Where are they all coming from, David? If they’re all found in the same area, I think you ought to nail them all to a large board of some kind?
Or are some neighbour playing a joke on you, David?

Cannot blame the neighbours……lost gloves are nothing new…..but all left hand gloves?!

These left handed gloves heard you were coming to Scotland and decided to play tricks on you, David! All very intriguing and all obviously waiting patiently for you to photograph them 🙂

And if it were only where you are doing your walks, David… but it just isn’t. I use my bike to get to shops and GP and whatever. Almost every month I see a glove besides the path. The latest soms weeks ago, during the time we had warm temperatures, so why wear gloves at all? And yes… a LEFT hand glove. All of them!! You started a mystery tour around Europe. I remember having found all together no more than 3-4 right hand gloves. At best. Since last year.
