Summer…its official. The 1st of June.

1.6-a

The meadow flowers, buttercups and clover are swapping the fields as predicted.  It has been a productive spring for setting seed, warm, moist and sunshine ideal conditions for producing silage crops.   The Hedgerows are equally as full. Campion, Hogweed, Daisy, Dog Rose and much else including busy bees collecting pollen…..and everywhere so rich in green…..

The only downside to all this is that year progresses at a fast pace.  Just think in 20 day’s time it will be the longest day and shortest night…Yep, Mid-Summers Day…..then it is all downhill to winter again!

Meantime lets enjoy the summer and the colour and maybe lie down in one of those meadows and get a grass hoppers eye view of the buttercups…..
