I cannot claim responsibility for this creative idea, that was someone else’s imitative. It is a notice board in the Old Stable Yard at Calke Abbey, Derbyshire. Instead of telling visitors about its history with modern media, they have gathered together memorabilia found in and around the stable block creating a frayed but rather unique snapshot of times long gone.

Thank you…I am glad it touched a poignant memory or two. Wandering around these old stables, though long unused, does create a feeling that they are still a place of busy activity. Cart Horse to prize Hunter shared this place.
