Storm warnings for the first weekend in October…not sure we are prepared for such a change in the weather. September was a record breaker for sun, warmth and was also so dry. October has started along the same route but with a bleak outlook to come. There is a change in our woods…not the rich colours of autumn yet. There is still plenty of green and healthy looking life about but also a very subtle change in strength, the greens are becoming more subdued and the vibrancy of the September colour is fading.
At the moment the storms seem so far away!
