Gusty winds overnight have stripped some trees. Poplar and Sycamore seem to be those that have succumbed more than others. The stand of Poplar above were full of leaf yesterday and the Sycamore below are now more branch and twig than leaves today….
On the woodland floor Crab Apples and Oak leaves will soon disintegrate adding to the rich mulch of the understore…
But the wind is a bonus for others…the perfect weather to Fly a Kite!
Down by the Lake the Autumnal feeling is even stronger and thanks to a plentiful supply of sunshine an even bigger bonus for those of us just content to enjoy the fresh autumnal atmosphere.
