I blinked and Missed it!

Well this season, I missed it!….the Red Deer Rut that is. What with one thing and another I have missed the Red Deer’s annual moment of madness, a mix of noise, posturing and too much testosterone. So the Red Deer Stag above is an image from last season.

But now that matters are more or less back to normal, a different tempo exists so that life becomes much calmer for all in the Deer Park….

  2. Amazing photos! I live in a very rural area, and 2 years ago received the blessing of seeing two bucks in battle during rut one early morning. I’ll never forget the sound, it literally echoed through the valley!
