A dark finish to a dark week. Dull grey, rain at tiles little if any wind to shift that cloud that hid the sun from view…but it is November so what can we expect and we have had a good run for our money weather wise. Despite the gloom some of the autumn colours did there very best to lighten each day, the damp has brought out the fungi and old seed heads at some sculpture to the hedges from which skeletons of trees reach to the sky trying to claw there way through the clouds…..
As evening descends so does the mist….the Lakes is still and the Gulls are content to just drift casually across the dark waters

Yes, dark days I don’t like but it gives a wonderful contrast for photography, at least for me. Winter smiled us today dear David, and dark sky we have now… But as you said, this should be normal. I loved your photographs, and standing so beautiful into the colours, Thank you, have a nice day and weekend, love, nia

Wonderful thing, all the bright colours to brighten up those dull and grey and dark November days. It really IS the Silent Time. I am afraid I may just be in a pre Christmassy spirit as yesterday I got myself three Christmans Stars as we call them but you know them as poinsettias. Their bright red leaves give some colour to my lounge.

Enjoy the colour they bring….even if they are short lived they do add some Christmas cheer

Gorgeous photos, David. I’m assuming you have a cosy place by a warm fireplace, where you can escape the cold and greyness of the outdoors. 🙂

You bet….
the cold and wet I can put up with it is the dark that I find dispiriting. Still we can’t have sunshine all the time 😊
