…..Still Dreaming of a White Christmas ?

Snow-and-solitude

PEACE

” I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas”……. That famous line from what must be the most played Christmas song is in reality still a dream. In our part of the U,K, I can only claim to have witnessed three White Christmases and they were frosts rather than snow. As we welcome in Boxing Day, this year has been no exception. No snow so the dream continues….. Still it is always nice to dream.

Is it too soon to start thinking of summer beaches ?

  1. It’s NEVER to soon to think of the beach…NOT EVER!!!!! I hope we don’t get any snow this year…just once, I would like an easy winter…warmer temps and no snow piled up to my shoulders. The sun is out today. Yay! We just broke a record for the darkest december EVER, in Chicago. Gray, dark, people dragging themselves through their day. We are creatures of the sun and our spirits fade and die without it.

    1. I guess I am happy with the winters we get…dark, true but I am aware that with some countries this isn’t as dark for as long. Not sure I could manage those very dark months . Even so …roll on spring and in its turn summer.

  2. A truly beautiful image, David and I for one would love to see a white Christmas. Just not live there for the rest of the winter 🙂

    1. I think that is the sentiment of many. I blame the Christmas Card for instilling these magical images of Christmas in to our inner thoughts…..and whilst it would (I think) be nice to have a white Christmas I would soon be wanting rid of the snow and slush that follows.

    1. Guess what we had snow overnight, the sun this morning is doing a great job of thawing and the trees no longer are draped in white. Forecast is for clear skies and very low temperatures so I guess ice will be the biggest concern.
