More Spring Yellow…..

Celandine….a true Spring indicator

6.4-CEL

Easter Monday arrived with a blue sky and bright warming sun. Its arrival also encouraged the Celandine, that have been waiting patiently for a couple of weeks, to literally burst upon the scene…each delicate flower head a beacon of hope that Spring is on the way.

The seasonal weather continues to tease us with just occasional tasters of what is to come. But it has been slow, the buds on the trees have slowly swollen but few have burst, blossom is spasmodic displays.  Whilst the weather is that little bit warmer and even tempted the odd fisherman to try his luck, the Lake still looks bare and cold.

  1. Beautiful yellow flowers… I loved how you captured. And of course, during Spring how beautiful the view in there… Thank you dear David, in here today, cool and cloudy! Not like a spring day. Love, nia

  2. Then you’ve probably discovered that the tagging doesn’t work, David? I’m told that it has always been this wayI
That’s certainly no comfort! I should thing you’ve tagged this ‘photgraphy’ in order to get attention from all those searching the word ‘photography’? (Which you do not! )

      1. I can only guess: In my blog alle tagged words are listed AFTER the text body. In your case it’s listed BETWEEN
headlines and ‘text body’. May be you’re in luck? I’ve tested this extensively. In a case I had tagged 28 different posts with the same unique code. A search gave no results whatever. When I inserted the same code directly underneath the text body a similar search gave 28 results! But the fact that your tags are listed between headlines and text body may have some impact here?!

  3. I am really fond of yellow. Especially this time of the year. And I know this little flower well. But our name for it is somewhat different. Best I could find is wean herb. The officiel name is: Ranunculus ficaria subsp. bulbilifer – hey it’s a ranunculus… 🙂 Family of the buttercup. But also familiy of these beautiful flowers: http://www.bloembollenbestellen.net/images/Ranonkel%20mix.jpg

    Also spring flowers.

But it’s nothing to do with weaning off… I had it wrong. We call it nipple herb. Because the little bulbs look like little nipples… 😀

    1. It was supposed to have medical uses. The bulb was supposed to be a good treatment for humanoids…in an infusion of course !😡

My Spell Checker just didn’t like ‘haemorrhoids’ and kept throwing out humanoids instead….may be it was telling us something!

Sometimes it happens that the computer seems to like another word than the one you want… Either way.. haemorroids is a human(oid) thing, isn’t it? 😀
