Hydrangea Splendour

_DOI6039_00018

Last year I blogged about the newly restore National Hydrangea collection here in Derby.  Located on the edge of Darley Abbey Park in what was once the Victorian Walled vegetable and fruit garden it was indeed a reflection on hours of hard work mainly by volunteers over a good number of years.

So I thought I ought to pop along and see just how it was doing this season……I knew I had left it late to enjoy them at there best but none the less they are still providing a splendid and colourful display.  So enjoy a brief glimpse whilst I make a note to myself to pop along earlier next season

  1. Amazing how beautiful they are. The heavy rains here have damaged most of them overhere but it’s great to see them in your photos.
