The misty start that was predicted arrived yet still the golden brown glow from the leaves seemed undiminished. They also predicted that the sun would break through later….well later was much later and more like mid afternoon.
Still the mists were a change and perhaps more seasonal than the recent run of good weather

Yep…like the bears, time to snuggle down away from it all. That said we are still a trifle confused here, whilst some trees have turned others are still green and have some life left in them….odd like the rest of this year

I think I have an explanation:
The cold night air follows the terrain (much like a fog) and som places will experience temeperatures below zero whilst others do not.
And where there has been freezing for several hours are where the leaves are falling. Just a theory, but it would explain your problem?

Can’t help it. Your: “Golden Brown” made me think of a golden (brown?) Oldie:
Walk through the partk or the woods and kick up the golden brown leaves. It’s fun!
