A Mighty Handful!
Weight(less) is the nominated topic for this weeks Photo Challenge….
and for these Giant Hands our little Buster would I guess appear weightless.
The Hands can be found on the shores of Derwentwater in the Lake District, Cumbria….they were sculpted as part of events to mark the National Trust holding in care these special places of our country.

That is a ‘handfull’ indeed! Made out of one piece of wood? There are no measurements here. Or is it photographed in a way to leave the impression of something much larger than what it really is?

No trick photography…..I guess it was more than one trunk there is a split between the hands. The palm is big enough for me to sit in! comfortably

It is weathering reasonably well in what is a wet climate….not sure about just how long it will grace the lake shore with its presence. So some of the finer details are disappearing.
