The Buttermere Pines and Hay Stacks, Cumbria

Sheltering below the heights of Hay Stacks and High Crag these Pines on the shores of Buttermere are one of the iconic views of Cumbria. Located in the North West of the English Lake District, a much visited area, there will have been literally millions of images taken of these Pines, in all weathers and across all seasons.  Getting originality is near impossible but at least for me I think this image captures the mood of the day and I can say it is mine….and it is also one of my Favourite Places.
