
It has been a dullish day but the meadows next the woods are far from dull even if the sun didn’t shine. Thankfully the Buttercups are creating their own bit of summer sunshine.
The Meadow grasses and Cow Parsley have, virtually overnight, started to overwhelm the hedge borders, even starting to swamp a new gate installed last week…

Whilst the Buttercups are spectacular rivalling any cultivated garden border, my favourite must be the Purple Clovers with their pompom heads fighting for air space amongst the golden glow. Add that scent that simply says , hey summer is really on the way….
