Waiting for the Milk Train…
Once upon a time this was a regular sight at country stations….Milk Churns waiting for collection by the early morning Milk Train. Of course the Milk Train carried much more than just milk and apart from passengers it was the vital supply route for fresh produce across and up and down the country…..for many a year the Railways were the super highway of the times.
