No…..not for many centuries, but was once a major a major stronghold of The Northumberland’s. But the connection lives on in that a few miles away Alnwick Castle is still occupied in part by the family. Part of Alnwick Castle are also open to the public. (it was also featured heavily in Harry Potter films). But this part of England was always fiercely contested both in Civil Wars, Royal allegiance disputes and of course being so close to the Scottish border in cross border disputes. The whole area is a key element in history influencing the formation of the UK
David, is this castle occupied?

At first glance, I thought this might be Alnwick Castle . . . funny that it is a “relation.” Great photo!
