Whilst it lasted …but like the old folk law rhyme…”Red Sky in the morning sailors warning”…..that morning didn’t last and with the incoming tide in came the heavy rain. Still it was fabulous whilst it lasted. 🙂

That is my observation a swell!
Sunsets and sunups change rapidly (minute by minute) and the best parts are
often before or after the sun disc is visible!

Morning red, watery end. Or something likewise. In Dutch: Ochtendrood, water in de sloot. Meaning is the same. When the sun comes op with a red sky it will rain this day. Now, I haven’t seen the sunrise as the clouds beat me to it. And the rain is quite abundant overhere. They think about 20 mm today which is a lot according to the ones that know. The vage promise that next week will be dryer is something too far away. We have had a month of mostly rain, rain en rain with the odd dry day in between. I would love to see the first proper springday with the small celandine in full bloom making a yellow carpet on a bright green bed. A first coffee on a terrace in front of a pub. Coat over the back of the chair and enjoying the first warm day of this year… https://www.puurmakelaars.nl/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/zomer-grote-markt-haarlem.jpg 😀

On a positive note….both yesterday and Monday we had coffee, after our morning of dog walking, on our patio in sunshine….made a positive move forward to spring. But by afternoon the weather changed back to norm. Today looks much the same a nice sunny morning but now starting to cloud over and feel damp. 🙂

Wonderful image. Living in Clitheroe we don’t often head towards the coast. I can see we are missing out on some great photo opportunities!

Skippool is a stones throw away from Clitheroe……mind you, you do have the Trough of Bowland on your doorstep 🙂
