You’re in the Dunes! What a spledid picture this is and it brings me back to my childhood when I used to play in the dunes near Haarlem. Place called Zandvoort. Along most of our coast are rows of dunes with that beautiful hardy gras. In English it;s Marram grass (sand reed?). We call it Helm gras. Named after this Greek word: [‘hɛlmxrɑs]. Reed like grass that grows in the dunes. Between these grasses you find many little creatures hiding. A bit further from the sea and beach you find buckthorn. Very sour but full of vitamins like Vitamine B 12… 🙂
David, again your pictures let my heart sing.
