We had very strong winds yesterday…..but after watching the news last night I reckon we got off very lightly. The Derwent Valley looked very peaceful this morning where we are just north of Derby and as you can see all the winter leaves have been brushed clear away by the winds.
and the rest of the day has been much the same blue sky, a few clouds and lots of sunshine. Even the woodland trees have now lost there leaves standing stark against the golden carpet. It was a wonderful day for walking and out of the wind you could be fooled in to thinking it was early October not the 9th December. Minus 6 forecast tonight and a thick hoar frost in the morning….we will see.
