……..from the Odd Box

SKYE

The Cuillins, Isle of Skye

Today, Sunday is a calm day… after all the hurly burley of activity over Christmas a time to relax and take time out to reflect on the past year. So there is no better day to delve into my ‘Odd Box’ of images and to see what we can discover. Discover is perhaps the wrong name for places already visited but what it does do is ignite that desire to revisit….so planning for 2015 journeys starts right here and now.

One place definitely on the list is the Isle of Skye off the North West coast of Scotland. It has a fantastic coastline, some great villages and magnificent sea lochs. It also has the Cuillin Mountains, mountains with evocative sounding names to the peaks such as Sgurr nan Gillean, Am Basteir and Bruach na Frithe. Famous for more often than not being topped with cloud, but when clearing revealing a spectacular vista. Here shot from near some moorland Lochans to the north of the range as the cloud rolls back to the west.  Yep….  we are heading back.

Now…what else is there in the Odd Box?

( “THE ODD BOX”. The Odd Box , is especially for Odds and Ends, it is the file where I drop those images, that I have not processed earlier in the year as part of a series or project or simply lacked time at that moment, where they can be safely stored. I can then go back to them at leisure, explore and see what surprises await)
