Wordless Wednesday….. Another Favourite Place

Cuillins-Skye

Location:- The Cuillin Mountains from the Sligachan Bridge, Isle of Skye, Scotland.

(Even with their 3000ft+ peaks hidden by cloud, the Cuillins are still magical)

Where ever you are or dream of being….

Winter begins at the Loch…

Scot-9.5

Loch Cill Chriosd, Broadford, Isle of Skye

Cloud covers Beinn Dearg Bheag beyond the Loch.  Autumns reeds are still standing, a tranquil end of year scene on Skye.  Heavy frosts  will see the end of those reeds until next springs revival.  🙂

Clear Sky…… on Skye

DOI_5055_00065aaa

Clear skies over the Isle of Skye.  A rare autumn morning on this enchanting Scottish Island……  Early morning mist rising from Loch Greshornish and the prospects of a rather fine day……   and it was.  Memories

Moody Monday….. Head in the Clouds

Skye-Old-Man

The Old Man of Storr, Isle of Skye, Scotland

Not the usual image of the famous Old Man of Storr and the Needles.  No panoramic views of the island and the mountains on the mainland, not dramatic seascapes.  But here, they do have their heads in the clouds.  Maybe not the usual image…. but for many, this is the weather that they associate with this north east coast of Skye.  Moody for Monday

A Rocky Outlook……………

Scotland

The dramatic Kilt Rock Waterfall.  The name Kilt is derived from the columns formed in the cliffs and thought to resemble the pleats in a Highland Kilt.    The waters for the falls come from nearby Loch Mealt at Ellishadder, near Staffin on the North East tip of the Isle of Skye.  North West Scotland.  Also a reminder of a rare day of sunshine across the Hebridean Islands.
