The 5th and 6th of June….80 years ago it was D.Day.
Lets all give it the respect it deserves, for all who took part in this date in our history.
Too many gave too much, whilst others suffered long after the hostilities ceased. Many acts of bravery by so many. It is also hard to believe that so many did manage to come home, not all intact in either body or mind, each with their own personal memories, and for some haunting ghosts.
Whilst we can pause and remember, I do wonder if our Political Leaders, the World over, have learnt any lessons. Events today in many parts of the World suggest not.
As we reflect on D.Day as always….
