December may well have blown in with an icy blast of frost and ice to remind us of winters delights yet to come. But much to our surprise and pleasure the past few days has seen an Autumn reprise…….
Early morning walks through the woods with our dogs have been a real pleasure, sunshine on what still remains of this years carpet of golden Beech leaves create a vibrant glow. Even the green needles of the Yew look fresh and even spring like…….
The reality is that it is the 12th December, and whilst this year has been a strange one for un-seasonal weather, we do know that this current ‘bonus’ cannot last for much longer……so we will just have to enjoy it whilst we can.
12th December
Delights and delights, my friend. Personally I follow the bears. (Sensible creatures)
Digging in, counting days, polishing my lenses awaiting the first drops of meltwater that tells me that the spring is about to start.
