Woke to a clear sky and the promise of a short spell of sunshine. So as the day was going to be ‘desk bound’, the dogs and I headed out for a brisk early morning walk to catch the first of the mornings sun…..
As the sun rose in the sky the light soon filtered down through the woods casting long warming shadows…..
The overnight snow, only a light fall, still clung the trees and as the sun climbed in the sky you could feel the warmth increase and the drips start to fall from the branches. It was a wonderful bright start to the day and had to be enjoyed to the full…..certainly setting me up for a day at the desk. So here are a few more of this mornings images which I hope you will enjoy…….
The thought of returning to my desk was very much eased, the forecast indicating that the ‘bright spell’ would not linger with us very long. Indeed as we headed homewards the mist, that would soon turn to fog, started to roll in…..
Looking out of my window now the fog is starting to freeze….so I guess for once we had the best of the day….and yes, it did make the rest of the day roll along with a swing!

Great David, esp. the last one! I “liked” this post yesterday, and numerous others from other bloggers, but it seems that my “likes” are not being registered. I’ll have to try another browser.

Had similar problems also kept getting a warning message from WordPress that my browser was an old browser and that soon it would not be supported (yet iy was latest IE and fully up to date. I moved to Opera…..didn’t get on with Chrome. Reason I changed was that with each version or update of IE I found bits I liked/used seemed to disappear. Not saying Opera is bril but once you have set it up for your way of working seems smooth and fast.
