Whilst exploring an old garden I came across this equally old ‘Potting Shed’. I thought it would be an appropriate submission for this weeks photo challenge….I hope you like.
As a footnote I should add that for men in the U.K. the garden shed is supposed to hold a magical attraction, a place of their own, an outside retreat, they tend to be simple wooden sheds in a corner of the garden.
This one is, or rather was, much more than a shed. It was once the centre of activity for the staff that once tended the gardens of a ‘Stately Home’ ….and I guess it was far from the romantic view we have of those times today, but real hard work.

OMG that’s what my studio looks like when I get wrapped up in a project. Not quite the same tools, but the same mess, with that underlying thought that somewhere under this is order.
