Too Nice a Day to End…………

Under-the-Beech2

Late afternoon and much too nice a day to end….so a last minute walk with the dogs through the Beech woods was the solution. I love this row of Beech – not tall and straight as Beech usually are, but bent and twisted with roots stretching out to ‘hold tight’ to the sloping ground.  The glow of the fading evening light adding to the copper glow of the leaves.  Taking advantage of the last of the sun is not a bad way to end an autumn day.

  1. Fabulous trees, David. Beauty in (im) perfection. This is Mother Earth in all her glory. These trees are old and wise. And the colours in your photos: wonderful. Colours here are fading fast now. Tomorrow I will hunt for bubble plastic. I try shopkeepers. Better give it to me than throw it away. I will wrap my plantpots on the balcony in the bubble plastic to protect my oleanders an d willow next winter. All the rest perished in the relentless rain. Good thing: all the grey snout beatles must have drowned in the soil, as well as thei larvi. 😉
By the way, I believe you are getting better and better…. It’s a morning joy to open your website and the Lakelandcam.co.uk site as well. Always a happy start of the day. Wishing all of the people a wonderful day…
